Glaswegians react on social media to 'unusual' sculpture in the city

A sculpture in Glasgow city centre has left many online baffled.

The bizarre looking statue has sparked up a debate on social media with many trying to decipher what it actually is.

The picture posted on both Twitter and Reddit shows the interesting sculpture with black writing scrawled at the base which reads 'F*** is this?'

The tweet from @BarcaJim3 read: "Apparently new sculptures have appeared in Glasgow and the public have spoken."

It immediately took Glasgow Twitter by storm with more than 2000 likes and 300 retweets.

Many users pointed out the similarities between the statue and Partick Thistle mascot Kingsley.

One tweeted: "Particle Thistle Mascot?"

The black emblem at the centre bares a striking resemblance to a much loved biscuit.

A witty commenter said: "Is the giant Oreo in the middle edible?"

However, the public's major concern for one of Glasgow's art sculptures is the lack of a certain item.

One twitter user said: "That cone’s gonna be on top of it soon."

Another agreed: "Screaming out for a traffic cone."

What do you think the sculpture is meant to be? Let us know in the comments.
