Glaswegians needed to take part in Traitors UK - how you can apply for series two

The Traitors UK has been confirmed to return for a second series and it's safe to say we are all a little more than excited.

The show, produced for the BBC by Studio Lambert Associates, was a hit with the first series having been hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

The reality competition show will once again be filmed in the Scottish Highlands where a team of players will compete in a series of missions to rack up a cash prize. The more tasks they complete successfully, the bigger the money they take home.

However, amongst the players lie the ‘Traitors’. These cunning contestants meet in secret and decide who to eliminate from their fellow players known as the ‘Faithful's’, with the goals of the Traitors to stay undetected until the end of the game and take the money for themselves.

Whilst trying to avoid being eliminated, the Faithfuls must figure out who is a Traitor and vote them out in order to take home the prize pot. Throughout the season, there will be twists, turns, and surprises for the players.

But if you'd rather be competing than watching at home, you may want to get applying. Here is how you can do just that.

The Traitors UK series 2 - when will it return?

The second season is set to begin filming in late summer. A show source told the Mirror: "These days almost every new series is a reboot of something that's gone before.

"So it's really nice to try something fresh - and for it to do well. The Traitors got everyone talking, so bringing it back was a no-brainer. Claudia was perfect."

It is unknown when it will air on the BBC but we will let you know as soon as we find out. You can keep up-to-date with the latest news via Glasgow Live's TV page.
