Glaswegians asked to go vegan for one month study - and earn £2k doing it

Calling all meat lovers in the city, now is your chance to join the growing vegan movement that has seen Glasgow become a real meat-free foodie paradise - and fill your pockets while you are at it.

That's because a vegan research company is offering a cool £2,000 to Glaswegian ‘self-professed carnivores’ out there to go vegan for one month as part of a new study they are conducting.

VeganLiftz.com is doing the study so they can examine the real-life effects a vegan diet has on a person’s health and fitness - and are specifically looking for folk currently living in what their research indicates to be the top five most carnivorous areas of the UK - with Glasgow on the list.

A total of three candidates will be chosen, who will be given a vegan diet plan for the duration of the month and must complete a remote health and fitness check, both before and after the study as well as take good quality, head-to-toe before and after pictures.

The plant-based diet is the only change in lifestyle permitted for the study and they ask that the candidates go about their everyday life as normal outside of what they are eating and drinking.

To take part, applicants must be aged between 18 to 60 years old, have no underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, obesity, or hyperthyroidism, and are required to have eaten a meat-heavy diet consistently for at least a year prior.

The successful candidates will be selected at the end of August, with hopes of starting the study mid-September.
