Glaswegian men give up on sex much earlier than average UK man

Glaswegian men are among the youngest in the UK to stop having sex.

A survey of over-50s blokes found men in Glasgow think they’ll stop their bedroom antics at age 67.

That compares with men from Sheffield, who think they’ll still have sex at 80.

The average age Brits think they will stop having sex is 74, according to research from Lumen, the dating app exclusively for over 50s.

More than half of men over 50 said they won’t stop having sex until they are unable to do so, and a further 15 per cent of randy middle-aged men say they will “never stop”.

Almost a third of men said they’ve become “a little” or “much” more adventurous in their sex life as they’ve aged.

Charly Lester, co-founder and CMO of Lumen, said: “While there’s still some cultural stigmas that surround discussing sex in later life, our respondents said their best sex began at 30-years-old and it’s clear that they have no intention of stopping until they’re unable to.”
