Glaswegian family to star in new ITV show Real Housewives of Jersey

A Glaswegian are to star on a new ITV show and become Scotland’s first showbiz family.

The clan, led by mum and fashion guru Tessa, are set to be front and centre of new ITVB series The Real Housewives of Jersey – which will be the biggest show on the Channel Islands since 80s cop series Bergerac, reports the Daily Record.

Tessa, 50, will appear on the show with her German film-maker husband Sascha, 40, and their daughters Tallia Storm, a rising pop singer, 21, Tessie, 23, a financier, and their sons Johnnie, who turns 16 at the end of the month, and Zach, 13.

The Glasgow-based powerhouse set up the Scottish Fashion Awards and was given a CBE in 2016 for her contribution to fashion and textiles.

She and Sascha began their PR agency Hartmann Media in 1996 and she represented the world’s biggest designers including Ralph Lauren, Swarovski and Louis Vuitton.

Tessa, the daughter of millionaire industrialist John Fortune Fraser who died last year, studied marketing and business law at university before working in the US and London.

She became known as Dr Tessa Hartmann after receiving an honorary doctorate from Glasgow Caledonian University. She’s also “glamager” to daughter Tallia’s in her music career.

Tessa also underwent surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer in 2017 – instilling her warrior spirit in her family with a no-nonsense attitude which should make for some dramatic scenes.

Speaking about the show being filmed in Jersey, she said: “It’s a huge opportunity for the island – anything we can do to give a platform to this amazing place in terms of encouraging retail and tourism is a great opportunity.

“From an economic perspective I think it’s going to be huge.”

It will join The Real Housewives franchise which started in 2006 with The Real Housewives of Orange County and was joined in 2009 by The Real Housewives of New Jersey before moving across the pond for The Real Housewives of Cheshire in 2015.

Other names in the frame for the latest Housewives spin-off include Superman Henry Cavill’s
sister-in-law, Kiri Cavill as well as Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews’ older sister Nina Mackie.
