Glasvegas set to play Irvine's Harbour Arts Centre at Christmas

Glasvegas, one of the most successful Scottish musical exports in recent times, are to play Irvine’s Harbour Arts Centre.

The special acoustic show at the HAC takes place on Thursday, December 12, and it will be a rare opportunity to see the band ‘up close and personal’, writes Freckfest’s Craig McAllister.

Brothers James and Rab Allan will eschew the band’s normally ear-splitting Shangri-Las meets Jesus And Mary Chain sound for the night and present tracks from across all three Glasvegas albums in a stripped-back, but no less intense, acoustic style.

Glasvegas are no strangers to Ayrshire, having played sold-out shows in both Kilmarnock’s Grand Hall and Troon Concert Hall in recent years.

With a fiercely loyal worldwide fanbase, this is the ideal chance to see them in an intimate setting.

The Harbour Arts Centre is one of the country’s greatest small, but perfectly formed, venues and tickets are sure to be snapped up when they go on sale this coming Friday, September 6.

Tickets from the HAC and via ticketsource.co.uk from 10am on Friday.
