Glastonbury Festival is set to bask in sunshine and warmth this weekend as summer 2019 gets going just at the right time.
Back for the first time in two years following a fallow summer in 2018, those heading to the Somerset music festival seem to have lucked out.
Not only did they wiggle to the front of the virtual queue in October's typically frantic ticket sale, they've somehow picked a glorious weekend to camp in a field amidst an otherwise mediocre summer.
Temperatures are set to hit 26C on Thursday and Friday - with the mercury touching 27C on Saturday.
As gates opened this morning a slight chill would have been felt in the air by those queuing up in the car park overnight, with temperatures stuck in the low teens.

Come Thursday, today's highs of 21C and partial cloud coverage will be swapped for clear blue skies, virtually no chance of rain and mercury heading towards the mid twenties celcius.
While the festival's lineup has been creeping further back into the middle of the week in recent years - with acts performing across a handful of stages on Thursday evening - things really get up and running on Friday.

Ten years after they dazzled Worthy Farm with their fusion of Abba classics and Scandinavian rap, Bjorn Again officially open the festival on the Pyramid Stage come Friday morning.
Above them sunshine will leak through patchy clouds that will have shifted by the time country music legend Sheryl Crow takes to the stage at 2.30pm.
Uninterrupted sunshine will beam down for the rest of the day, cultivating some summery vibes to accompany Ms. Lauryn Hill, Morcheeba and - in his much anticipated headline slot - Stormzy.

Sickeningly for those stuck at home who had to mournfully wave goodbye to their ticket friends and family, things only get better on Saturday.
The heat wave currently scorching large patches of continental Europe will make its way across the Channel.
Although the skies will be overcast and the air humid, temperatures will comfortably creep above the mid twenties celcius.

To accompany the warm weather festival goers can choose from line-up packages including legends Janet Jackson and Liam Gallagher back-to-back on the main stage, big beat bands The Courteeners and The Chemical Brothers on The Other Stage, or electro-poets Kate Tempest followed by Hot Chip on The Park Stage.
Things will cool down a little bit on Sunday as a line-up of big hitters bring with them more seasonally British weather.

While temperatures of 19C and 20C will feel comparatively frigid, things will heat up when Kylie Minogue and Miley Cyrus take to the Pyramid Stage.
As the sun slips down behind Glastonbury Tor and the festival comes to an end for another year, revellers will have to decide between headliners Janelle Monae, The Cure, Christine and the Queens, or The Streets.
