Glastonbury tickets can be won if you are a Co-op member

Tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival are now sold out, but there's still a chance to get there. Co-op has launched a member-exclusive chance to win tickets.

The convenience retailer, which will have an pop-up shop on the site at Pilton, is giving away five pairs of tickets. It's open to its 4.5million members.

Using the Co-op app, members have access to an interactive game – Musical Match-Up – where players match the tiles onscreen and need to find all six pairs in 30 seconds to be entered into the prize draw. Members can play once a day between Monday, April 24, and Sunday, April 30, giving seven chances to enter, with the lucky winners drawn on May 2.

Amanda Jennings, director of marketing engagement at Co-op, said: “We are super excited to be able to offer Co-op members the chance to experience the incredible and iconic festival that is Glastonbury. Co-op members are at the heart of our business, and we aim to always give them access to extra benefits, like member pricing, personalised offers, and money back to spend in stores. This competition not only celebrates our partnership with Glastonbury Festival but gives our amazing members the chance to win a truly unforgettable experience.”

Co-op will be returning to Worthy Farm with its pop-up store for the third year as it provides food and festival essentials for Glastonbury 2023. Festival-goers will be able to source all their weekend essentials from the Co-op’s custom-built barn supermarket, a fully operational 6,000sqft food store, stocking more than 300 traditional supermarket food, drink and other products such as sun cream and medicines.

Having a Co-op membership enables shoppers to earn 2p in every pound spent on own-brand products is returned to the member’s digital wallet. Further, 2p in every pound spent on own-brand products helps fund thousands of community causes. Membership also gives shoppers personalised offers and exclusive games, like Musical Match-Up, via the Co-op app.

Co-op has also recently joined the ranks of some its rivals by offering members lower prices on some products. This includes extra money off its freezer filler deal, to further discounts such as £1.45 on its Irresistible pizzas, £1.90 on ready meals, wine deals to help save £5 and money off Co-op’s British BBQ lines and fresh fruit ranges this summer. The member exclusive prices will also be available to Co-op members at the pop-up shop at Glastonbury.

Co-op said the new member food benefits would be followed in time by the Co-op’s other business areas in funeral care, insurance and legal services and Co-op members will also enjoy exclusive benefits – as part of a naming rights deal – to Co-op Live. Co-op Live is the new 23,500-capacity live entertainment arena in Manchester. Co-op will offer its members pre-sale tickets before general release, hospitality experiences, the chance to win free tickets and exclusive money-can’t-buy experiences, backstage VIP experiences and fast-track entry to the arena.
