Glastonbury shares planned lineup for West Holts stage after coronavirus cancellation

Glastonbury organisers have created playlists to reveal the planned stage lineups for their now cancelled festival.

The annual music event was due to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, but was forced to postpone until 2021 less than a week after announcing their full lineup including Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift.

Now, festival organisers are giving fans a look at what would have been Glastonbury’s stage breakdown through a series of playlists on their Spotify account.

The most recent update pertains to the West Holts stage, with the playlist featuring the likes of Thom Yorke, Thundercat and TLC.

Previous playlists have covered the Park Stage, which would have seen performances from Laura Marling, London Grammar and Phoebe Bridgers.

Meanwhile, the John Peel Stage playlist shows Charli XCX, Aitch, Glass Animals and FKA Twigs among the performers.

News of the festival’s cancellation was announced by Michael and Emily Eavis, who wrote: “We are so sorry to announce this, but Glastonbury 2020 will have to be cancelled, and this will be an enforced fallow year for the festival.

“Clearly this was not a course of action we hoped to take for our 50th anniversary event, but following the new government measures announced this week – and in times of such unprecedented uncertainty – this is now our only viable option.”
