Glastonbury: Loyle Carner wears 'I Hate Boris' T-shirt for Other Stage performance

Loyle Carner is the latest artist to call out Boris Johnson at Glastonbury Festival

The hip hop artist performed in blazing sun on the Other Stage at Worthy Farm, where at first it appeared he hadn’t got the memo about the heatwave – dressed as he was in a thick long-sleeved shirt.

“Let me take this top off,” he told the crowds, unveiling an “I Hate Boris” T-Shirt to loud cheers and applause. “F*** that guy,” he announced.

The “Stars and Shards” artist followed headliner Stormzy’s example, after the grime star got an audience of thousands to shout the line: “F*** the government and f*** Boris” during his headline set on Friday.

Carner also brought out a number of guest artists, including his friend Rebel Kleff, with whom he has clearly reconciled after a brief falling-out, and Tom Misch

The final day of Glastonbury Festival 2019 has been another of unprecedented sunshine, with performances from Kylie Minogue, Years & Years and Bring Me the Horizon to name but a few. The evening will be brought to a close by The Cure’s headline performance on the Pyramid Stage.
