Glastonbury Festival 2021 will NOT move to September confirms Emily Eavis

Glastonbury Festival will go ahead in June, as usual, comfirms Emily Eavis after rumours the event could be moved to September.

There has been speculation the event could be postponed - with a final decision taken in January next year - if organisers were not conifdent it could definitely go ahead in the summer.

Speaking on Twitter this morning (Sun, August 30) co-organiser of Glastonbury Festival Emily Eavis confirmed there were no plans to host the festival on any other weekend apart from its usual slot in June.

However, she did confirm ticket resale would be moved back from October to April as so few people who planned to attend this year's event have asked for refunds. It means next year's festival is already sold out but the free cancellation deadline has now been extended to January.

Plans are under way for the festival's return in 2021, with organisers confirming it will be held from Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27.
