Glastonbury Festival 2020: Third and final headliner announced

Glastonbury's organisers have just announced the third and final headliner for this year's festival - but have voiced uncertainty over the festival.

American rapper Kendrick Lamar has been revealed via the event's social media pages.

Organisers have also announced Manic Street Preachers, Pet Shop Boys, The Specials, Sinead O'connor, Primal Scream alongside many others.

Kendrick Lamar will perform on the Friday night of the 50th anniversary, which takes place between June 24 - June 29, with Paul McCartney taking the Friday night slot and Taylor Swift closing the Pyramid Stage on Sunday.

Also headlining is Wolf Alice and Diana Ross.

But in a message posted on Instagram, the organisers expressed slight uncertainty over the event. They said: "So, after much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020.

"As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so.

"No-one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show in the world."

Just before the Somerset festival begins, the recently reformed rockers will perform at the Lloyds Amphitheatre, as part of Bristol Sounds.

Glastonbury could be set to grow even larger as plans are now under way to increase the current capacity of the festival.

A total of 203,000 people attended the 2019 event, but thousands more revellers could be permitted to attend the event's 50th anniversary, which runs from Wednesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 28.
