Glastonbury Festival 2019: Field of Avalon announces huge lineup including Bananarama, Beans on Toast and Frank Turner

Just days after dance area Silver Hayes revealed its lineup, the Field of Avalon at Glastonbury Festival has followed suit.

The popular area is home to the Avalon Stage, which takes the form of a huge blue tent, and the Avalon Café which plays host to smaller acts.

In the past it has welcomed the likes of KT Tunstall, Corinne Bailey Rae, Will Young and Turin Brakes, welcoming a diverse lineup every year.

And it has just released its roster of acts for 2019 which has ramped up the excitement levels of all ticket holders.

The area will welcome female pop group Bananarama, who reformed in 2017. The trio comprising Keren Woodward, Sara Dallin and Siobhan Fahey sold 40 million records at the height of their fame, before Siobhan left the group to form Shakespeare’s Sister.

There will also be appearances from the ever-popular Beans on Toast, You Give Me Something singer James Morrison, long-running chilled electronic band Morcheeba and many more.

A weekend-long party inspired by Ibiza is taking place near Bristol

Another highlight will no doubt be The Cat Empire .

No band has ever sold out Bristol's O2 Academy more than the Aussie genre-blenders, with their double-header earlier this year taking their total of sell out Bristol shows up to a whopping 10.

Since 1999, the Melbourne outfit have earned a reputation as one of the world’s best party bands and it’s easy to see why when you watch them perform live.

Frank Turner is likely to take the roof off the tent with his legions of fans in attendance while Reef, who are from Glastonbury themselves, will also no doubt go down a storm.

There's also plenty of Bristol talent to enjoy including rockers The Blue Aeroplanes, singer-songwriter Yola and incendiary nine-piece Cut Capers.
