Glastonbury Festival 2019: Festival organisers hand out water as fans swelter in 30C weather

Festival-goers at Glastonbury are sweltering in 30C today (June 29).

Music fans are gathered around any precious bit of shade as the unbroken sunshine beats down on a site with little to block it.

Signs directing festival-goers to wear sun cream and stay hydrated are dotted around the site as people struggle with the temperatures.

Members of festival staff have even taken to walking around the site offering revellers water, in an attempt to keep people healthy.

The Met Office has predicted temperatures will peak today between 2pm and 5pm with highs of 30C.

The weather should cool down tomorrow (June 30), with the forecaster predicting highs of 20C.

For now, festival goers are advised to wear plenty of sun cream, drink plenty of water and cover their heads.

As Vampire Weekend said during their secret set at the Park Stage: "You need to all stay hydrated".
