The BBC has revealed its schedule of historic Glastonbury performances to mark the festival’s 50th anniversary.
The event was cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, meaning fans have been forced to miss the likes of Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, and Diana Ross performing at Worthy Farm.
However, they will still be able to watch some of the most memorable performances to have taken place over the years.
From Thursday 25 June at 10am, a number of sets will be broadcast on BBC iPlayer and conclude on the evening of Monday 29 June with Blur’s famous headline set on the Pyramid Stage in 2009.
Other scheduled sets include Foals, Foo Fighters, Little Simz, Primal Scream, Kano, Bloc Party, Adele, Coldplay, David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse, and Stormzy’s history-making headline set last year.
In a rave review for The Independent, critic Jazz Monroe called Stormzy’s set “pure and uncompromising”, adding that it was “a grime masterclass from an astonishingly versatile performer who, it seems, can do anything he pleases”.
