Glastonbury 2021: Your chance to win a pair of tickets to festival

It won't come as a surprise to anyone that tickets to Glastonbury 2021 are sold out.

Tickets for the 50th anniversary of the event, which was cancelled this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, sold out in just 34 minutes as a record number of fans tried to secure their place at Worthy Farm.

The festival's organisers then announced that those who bagged one would be able to carry it over to 2021 if they wished, and unsurprisingly, the vast majority have elected to do this.

This means that unless you were successful in the initial ticket sale, it will be incredibly difficult to attend the rescheduled 50th anniversary, which is due to take place between Wednesday, June 23 and Sunday, June 27 2021.

But there is some hope left for those who who were not, as the festival is giving away a pair of tickets in a raffle.

Glastonbury is raising money for stage crew charity Stagehand’s #ILoveLive campaign, which is providing financial help for all UK stage crew who have been badly hit by the pandemic.

Explaining the appeal on Crowdfunder, the festival says: "Stage crew seem to be the forgotten ones in the current pandemic.

"They’re the unsung heroes of the live entertainment world. Without them shows just couldn’t happen.

"The impact of Covid-19 has been devastating for the whole music industry but particularly for the stage techs, sound engineers, guitar techs, keyboard techs, drum techs, stage managers, production managers, tour managers and other live support personnel who make shows possible.

"With no shows since March, crew’s income has been slashed with many finding that they are ineligible for any kind of government financial aid. Many are in desperate need and most are sitting with mental health issues.

"Let’s help raise some money to support them this winter. It could literally save lives."
