Glastonbury 2020 rumours: Who could play next year?

Just like that, Glastonbury is over for another year, and whilst many of us will be hoping to secure tickets to next years bash, Glastonbury don't actually release the line up until the tickets are sold out.

So if you're wondering who could be there, we've put together a list of the top rumours of who could be there? We're not promising anything, and we'll keep adding, but we can dream right?

So far we've had some bands drop hint on stages, and the rumour mill has gone into overdrive thanks to some tour schedules and interviews.

There's only one thing for it, we'll have to wait in see.

Who might play Glastonbury 2020?

Elton John

The megastar is currently on his 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour, a lengthy three year tour as the legend says goodbye to life on the road. Whilst it first appeared he may say goodbye to Glastonbury in 2019 too, 2020 now seems an option?

Paul McCartney

(Liverpool Echo)

Michael Eavis may have already let slip this one, Speaking to BBC Somerset, the festival’s organiser said: “Paul’s on good form at the moment.”

Asked if he meant that Macca would be heading to the festival, Eavis said “Hopefully for the 50th.”

Fleetwood Mac

The band played Wembley Stadium this month, and according to fans Mick Fleetwood self confirmed by mentioning a festival saying they still "have a big field to play".

The 1975

According to Glasto Fest Feed, Matt Healy discussed their headliner prospects in an Apple Beat's 1 interview with Matt Wilkinson: "In two years time, we’ll be back with a new record, we’ll headline Reading and Leeds, and the year after that, we’ll do Glastonbury"
