Glastonbury 2020 organisers announce new way to bag a ticket

Missed out on a Glastonbury Festival ticket? Panic not.

We have just found out about another way – albeit a slim one – that you could get your hands on a coveted pass for the biggest party of 2020.

Tickets for the festival went on sale online this morning and sold out in less than an hour.

And with just under 140,000 up for grabs but 2.4M people registered, many were left disappointed.

Frustrated would-be festival goers had been sure to get up early, with many plugging in multiple devices, to give themselves the best chance of a ticket.

But many were left on a holding page and had to patiently persist while the website repeatedly crashed.

There's still , as well as the possibility of 'secret' sales - but Glastonbury organisers have also announced a new way to get a ticket.

Emily Eavis said fifty pairs of tickets have been held back as part of celebrations to mark the event’s 50 birthday in 2020.

The tickets will be sold via a ballot to those who have missed out so far.

Details of how to apply for one of the coveted 50 pairs of tickets will be released in the next few days.

Glastonbury 2020 runs from June 24-28.

No headliners have been announced as yet but .
