Glastonbury 2020: Festival organiser rules out two huge bands from next year's lineup

The rumour mill has been in overdrive as people speculate who will headline next year's Glastonbury Festival.

The event will celebrate it's fiftieth anniversary in 2020 and general sale tickets have sold out.

Last week, Diana Ross shared her elation at being chosen to perform in the Sunday legends slot.

But the festival's organisers ruled out two major acts over the weekend - one of which was a firm favourite to play the event.

Emily Eavis told music fans neither Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin would perform at Glastonbury 2020.

She was speaking while promoting her book at Cheltenham Literature Festival, Gloucestershire Live reports.

Many people thought Fleetwood Mac would perform at Worthy Farm after the band's drummer and co-founder dropped a big hint in June.

During a gig at Wembley, Mick Fleetwood said the band had a "big field to play” and mentioned “a rained-out festival in England next year".

Perhaps Fleetwood was referring to Reading, Leeds or Download - but it is now clear it was not Glastonbury.

If you missed out on general sale tickets, there are still ways you can get to the event.

Organisers are holding a ballot to celebrate the festival's fiftieth year and there is also the possibility of 'secret' sales.

And you can find out more about the official Glastonbury resale is here.
