Glastonbury 2020: Emily Eavis drops massive hints about next year's headliners

Glastonbury festival organiser Emily Eavis has dropped a few massive hints about what to expect from next year's line-up.

The festival will be celebrating it's 50th anniversary in 2020 so speculation on who will be performing is rife among festival fans.

Thankfully, Eavis gave some pretty big clues during an interview with BBC DJ Jo Whiley at BBC Introducing Live, Somerset Live reports.

One audience member at BBC Introducing reported that Emily Eavis said: "Two of the Glastonbury Pyramid headliners have not done the festival before."

One big name who is a bookies' favourite and has never performed at Glastonbury before is Taylor Swift, and many are speculating that the pop sensation could be paying Worthy Farm a visit in 2020.

Emily Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury's founder Michael Eavis, also added that the Other Stage headliners next year would be at "Pyramid" level.

This suggests the line-up is stepping up a gear for the 50th celebrations and this could mean more agonising Glastonbury clashes than ever before.

Eavis also took the opportunity to rule out a few big names from appearing at Worthy Farm - including Fleetwood Mac.

She apparently said: "I’ve always been quite open about the fact that we would really love to have them.

"I’m so hopeful that one day they will do it. But it’s not going to happen for 2020, forget it. I’m sorry."

The Spice Girls were also ruled out, according to one fan's tweet at least.

The 1990s megastar girl group reunited earlier in 2019 and performed at Ashton Gate as part of a series of gigs at the stadium.

However, it looks unlikely at this point that Glastonbury is next on the band's agenda.
