Glastonbury 2019: Possible setlist for The Killers on Pyramid Stage

The Killers return to Glastonbury Festival this Saturday night (June 29), taking time out of their busy touring schedule to grace the Pyramid Stage with a two-hour performance starting at 9:45pm.

The band will then travel to America after their Glastonbury performance, which acts as a break between the European and American legs of their worldwide tour.

In addition to timeless classics such as Mr Brightside and Human, festivalgoers can also expect to be treated to newer music. The group released a single earlier this year titled Land of the Free, the only music released since their 2017 album.

Frontman Brandon Flowers confirmed earlier this week that no new music would be finished in time for Glastonbury, meaning fans of the group will look forward to hearing the tunes they know and love.

Fans should also expect some surprises from The Killers’ setlist. The group played a cover of The Undertones’ Teenage Kicks during their secret 2017 Glastonbury performance, and have performed renditions of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ American Girl/Free Fallin’ during their current tour.

Setlists on the current tour have been tweaked each night, ensuring each audience a fresh and unique experience. The band are seeking to make up for their forgettable 2007 Glastonbury performance, meaning fans should expect all the classics to be performed.

The band’s 2007 set was riddled with sound issues, as council restrictions limited the volume at which music could be played. Fortunately for this year’s audiences, such restrictions are no longer in place.

There is huge competition for audiences on Saturday night, however. The Killers’ set will clash with other fan favourites Chemical Brothers and Wu-Tang Clan, whilst Idris Elba’s DJ set on the Glade Stage will also overlap.
