Glastonbury 2019: Massive lineup announced for Glade Area including Carl Cox and Idris Elba

Hot on the heels of the Shangri-La announcement, we now also know who will be playing in another of Glastonbury's most popular dance areas.

The Glade Area is where you'll find some of the very best sound systems at Worthy Farm with stages The Glade Stage, The Spaceport, The Spike and The Glade Lounge.

And this year upgrades are being made to all four of them, with improvements being made to Spaceport and a festival debut of the Funktion One Vero from the makers of the original Pyramid PA system. In short, it's going to be very loud.

Lineup announced for Bristol's Tokyo World festival including Craig David and De La Soul

As is tradition, the area's stages will be graced by some of the very best DJs from across the globe.

Headlining The Glade Stage will be certified legend Fatboy Slim, house and techno don Carl Cox and diverse electronic producer Squarepusher.

The Glade Area stage lineups can be seen below:

There will also be sets from the likes of Seth Troxler, Idris Elba, George Fitzgerald and party starters The Dub Pistols, with an absolute feast for fans of house and techno in particular to enjoy.

A DJ set from legendary group Faithless will also no doubt draw a big crowd, as will fast-rising drum & bass duo North Base.

Spaceport will be headlined by a Leftfield DJ set, who were also recently announced to play at Tokyo World, and will also play host to Patrick Topping, Mella Dee, Stanton Warriors and many more.

In the Glade Lounge, revellers will find the likes of Dave Seaman and Don Letts, while The Spike will be home to Tom Ravenscroft, former snooker player turned DJ Steve Davis and Bristol-based Giant Swan.

Needless to say, the area is likely to be a big hit with dance music fans when the festival returns at the end of next month.
