Glastonbury line up 2019 has everyone saying the same thing

Glastonbury Festival-goers have slated the ‘worst line-up ever’ after organisers confirmed The Killers and The Cure will join Stormzy as this year’s headliners.

The trio will top the bill when the extravaganza returns to Worthy Farm in June, with Kylie set to perform in the Sunday afternoon Legends slot.

Janet Jackson has also been confirmed as well as Liam Gallagher, Miley Cyrus, George Ezra, Tame Impala, Lauryn Hill, Janelle Monae, Loyle Carner and The Chemical Brothers among others.

Despite an eclectic mix of old and new acts, as well as a handful of legends, fans were left deflated by the “shocking” line-up.

One tweeted: “Really poor headliners this year, maybe #Glastonbury isn’t the big deal it used to be for bands.”

Another wrote: “That is the worst #Glastonbury line up I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration. Wtaf.”

Others were fuming at the absence of the Spice Girls after Mel B jokingly teased an appearance, with one tweeting: “OH MY LORD AND WHERE ARE THE SPICE GIRLS.”

Others were thrilled with the line-up, with one fan hailing it “the best @glastofest line up for years”.

Jackson proved a hit with many who claimed they “literally can't wait”.

Another simply tweeted: “JANET F****** JACKSON.”

Stormzy previously came under fire after he was announced, with many arguing he does not have a big enough body of work to headline the Pyramid Stage with one album under his belt.

He later refused to comment on the backlash, insisting it “doesn’t even deserve the fuel” before telling festival-goers they should “have no fear” as he will deliver a “headline-calibre performance”.

His girlfriend Maya Jama also defended his signing, describing her partner as an “icon” and branding critics “negative Nancys”.

Tickets for Glastonbury sold out within 32 minutes when they went on sale, with re-sale up for grabs in April.

Glastonbury Festival takes place from June 26-30
