Glastonbury 2019: Lewis Capaldi announced as full lineup and stage times revealed

Excitement levels for Glastonbury Festival have been ramped up another few notches after organisers released the full lineup and stage times.

Ever since the first lineup poster was released in March, fans have been speculating as to who else would be appearing at the Somerset spectacular, which is returning in June following a fallow year.

And those lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket will now frantically be scouring the vast lineup - which includes a staggering 2,800 performances across 79 stages.

A number of major clashes have already been spotted, as is expected with so many top acts playing across numerous stages, while fans are celebrating the addition of a handful of acts to the already star-studded lineup.

What acts have just been announced?

A handful of bands and solo artists who were not previously announced have been named in the full lineup.

This includes The Vaccines , who will open the Pyramid Stage at 11am on Friday, and Courteeners , who play The Other Stage at 8.45pm on Saturday evening.

'Intense female metal duo' Babymetal have also been announced, which is going down well on social media. They will also play The Other Stage, at 2.35pm on Sunday afternoon.

Other new additions who will no doubt go down a storm include man-of-the-moment Lewis Capaldi , who plays The Other Stage at 4pm on Saturday, and The Proclaimers , who will kick things off on The Pyramid Stage at 11.45am on Saturday.

Alt-metal group Bring Me The Horizon are another new addition, announced to play The Other Stage at 3.45pm on Sunday.

What are the main clashes people have spotted?

Predictably, a number of big clashes have already been spotted by those heading to Worthy Farm.

A common one being shared by people on social media is The Killers on The Pyramid Stage playing at the same time as The Chemical Brothers on The Other Stage.

To make matters worse, the two major acts also clash with hop hop legends Wu-Tang Clan, who play West Holts in that slot.

Another recurring clash being shared on Twitter is a slightly more surprising one - the aforementioned heavy metal duo Babymetal clashing with Jeff Goldblum - two acts who could not hardly be more different.

Another one likely to cause headaches on the day is legendary goth rock band The Cure playing at the same time as The Streets, who have recently made a live comeback, on Sunday night.

Throw Christine and The Queens into the mix, who play The Other Stage at 10pm on Sunday, and you've got yourself another three-way clash.
