It was always going to be a big moment for Kylie.
She was set to play the festival back in 2005 but had to pull out to undergo cancer treatment.
She spoke to Press Association ahead of the lineup announcement about just how much playing Glastonbury would mean to her.
She said: "When I was supposed to do it I think I would have been the first solo female to headline in however many years it was, so I was really proud of that at that time.
She added: "Obviously it didn't happen. So it would be amazing and very emotional to be standing there and doing what I didn't get to do all those years ago, for sure."
And this afternoon (June 30), Kylie dazzled fans with her Glastonbury performance, confirming her right to play the legends slot.
It was everything the crowd wanted it to be - cheesy, colourful and heartfelt.
Kylie teared up on stage, saying: "In 2005 I was meant to be here. Circumstances meant that I did not make it.
"I wished things were different, but life is what it is. We are all together in this moment.

"This 30 plus years together, all of our individual stories and our collective stories."
"Well, I didn't cry too much - that's good," she then joked.
Epic songs like I Should Be Lucky, Can't Get You Out of my Head and Spinning Around thrilled the audiences at the sheer fun of the experience.
Fans hoping to see Jason Donovan on stage did not get their dream of a Neighbours reunion but she did bring on two other guests.
Nick Cave joined her for Where the Wild Roses Grow and Chris Martin played guitar and sang part of Can't Get You Out of My Head.
A cover of Loco-Motion was utterly joyous and just what the crowd needed to get their spirits up after four days of partying.
Kylie looked amazing and every costume change was greeted with a huge cheer.
All in all, she delivered just what was needed - a lot of fun.
