Glastonbury 2019 headliners The Killers are playing a show in Cardiff Castle this summer

The Killers are making something of a comback.

Their secret set at Glastonbury 2017 proved such a hit, the rock band were named headliners for the 2019 festival.

But any fans who missed out on tickets have just been given a lifeline, as the group will perform just across the bridge in Cardiff, Wales Online reports.

The Las Vegas band last performed in Wales in 2018 when they took the Liberty Stadium by storm and they'll return on June 28 – the night before they headline the Pyramid Stage in Pilton.

Tickets go on sale on March 29.

It's the band's first Cardiff gig in seven years and it's the only other mainland-UK gig other than their Glastonbury set, so tickets will be in high demand.

The band are currently in the studio working on their sixth album, the follow-up to 2017's Wonderful Wonderful and the Cardiff Castle gig is sure to contain tracks from their newer records as well as legendary crowd pleasers like Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, When You Were Young and Read My Mind.

They go on sale at 9.30am on March 29 via Seetickets.
