Glastonbury 2013: readers' photos from GuardianWitness
Dan Quigan: "Arcadia warming up on the Thursday night. Glastonbury is nice during the day, but everyone there knows the real fun starts after dark. Arcadia was a key centrepoint for this – absolutely hectic drum and bass coupled with searing heat from the spider's flames." So much love at Glastonbury and I will never forget that moment. Glastonbury is all about spending the best weekend in the world with the people I love more than anything."Photograph: ID5732280Pressthebigredbutton: "Crowds in the market"Photograph: Pressthebigredbutton
Izzy Sleurink: "It's amazing how at Glastonbury everything seems to happen at exactly the right time and place. My favourite Glastonbury Karma moment happened Monday morning – we had found the perfect swing seat in the Healing Fields to sit and reminisce after our last dance in Heaven, and were discussing how we would have loved to preserve this moment, if all our cameras and phones hadn't run out of battery. Just as we were about to leave, a paramedic with a passion for photography and an impressive camera walked past. It was one of those moments where everything seemed to fall into place in such a way that we didn't even need to ask him to take our picture. As we climbed around the swing seat, falling around in fits of laughter, I thanked Glastonbury for giving us this one last moment, and vowed once again that although this was my first time at Micheal Eavis's festival, it definitely wouldn't be my last."Photograph: Izzy SleurinkLou Smith: "My festival virginity was well and truly robbed, and I don't regret a single thing."Photograph: Lou Smithcupcakesaplenty: "The flags at Glastonbury are such a huge part of the festival, watching them blow in the wind is a magical sight"Photograph: cupcakesaplentyEd Robson: "Two policemen allow girls to apply makeup and glitter and stick fake diamonds onto their faces. Sums up the friendly an laid-back feel of the whole festival; people really let their hair down and normal rules, to some extent, do not apply."Photograph: Ed Robsonbimble123: "Kate Tempest. My daughter has had a tough time in the last few years but is pulling through with the help of her friends and her family. Going to Glastonbury with her and watching her being happy was very special indeed."Photograph: groovylordpinguAdrian Carroll: "Stones on fire. One of the best things to do at Glastonbury is to just meander around and take in the side-shows. This was taken in the south east corner"Photograph: Steven Barlowsimonesw: "Being from a tiny island (Jersey), every Glastonbury I find my breath taken away by the sheer size of the place. The night view from the Crow's Nest is particularly special, and all lit up like Christmas. It's perfect, really."Photograph: simoneswSam Baskett: "Watching Example perform on the Other stage. When I look back at my photos it's not the pictures I have of Example or any other artist performing that makes me smile or reflect on my Glastonbury experience: it's the photos of my friends and the smiles on our faces. To me, seeing these photos reminds me that for that one week I was truly happy. Glastonbury is an escape from reality, it's truly a different world."Photograph: Sam BaskettJonathanCole: "What's good enough for The Manics… Who says the Stones are prima donnas?"Photograph: JonathanCole
