Glastonbury 2008: Annie tackles our 10 Glasto questions

Annie: "Glastonbury's like being in Russia"

1) What's your favourite moment of the festival so far?

There are so many bands I really want to see. I tried to see Santogold but she only played an hour before me. I want to see the Gossip, MGMT and Hercules and Love Affair.

2) What's the strangest thing you've seen today?

The fact that not everybody's on drugs but still having fun. I played the Big Day Out festival in Australia and everybody was on drugs. You could walk around and you'd see people sniffing coke in a field. I'm not against people doing drugs, but that was way out. It's nice that here people are just having a good time.

3) What do you think should be banned?

I'm not too fond of the festival hats, the jester hats. You get them in Norway too, except they have Viking horns.

4) What's your festival survival tip?

Definitely wellies. I've got Viking-branded ones. And I think you need to bring a toothbrush.

5) Where did you sleep last night?

On the tour bus, the Annie bus. It's hard to miss it - it's mint green, as green as it gets. It almost hurts your eyes. I've stopped doing the pink thing and I've moved on to green.

6) What have you eaten today?

I had corn on the cob with sweet chilli on. And I've been drinking white wine. I was expecting to get a small glass, but they basically gave me half a pint. It's like being in Russia.

7) If one historical figure could play Glastonbury, who should it be?

I'd love to see Divine. When I was about 12 I was a really big fan of the Doors, and I fancied Jim Morrison, so I'd like to see them.

8) If you could introduce one law at Glastonbury, what would it be?

To go and see one of my shows - I'm playing three times.

9) What time did you start drinking?

About three hours ago. I've had three glasses of wine. I'm not drunk, but I'm a bit tipsy.

10) If you were writing a Glastonbury poem, what would the first line be?

To be at Glastonbury or not to be at Glastonbury - that is the question.
