Glasgow woman threatened and robbed in her own home by three masked men

A woman has been left 'extremely shaken' after three men forced entry into her home and robbed her in broad daylight.

The 42-year-old was at her home on Lochview Gate in the Hogganfield area of the city around 6.15pm on Friday when the terrifying incident unfolded.

Three men wearing dark clothing with their faces covered forced their way into the property and threatened the woman before making off with a quantity of cash and jewellery.

It's believed that they fled on foot and passed through Riddrie Park Cemetery.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the men - particularly in the nearby cemetery - to come forward.

All three are described as white Europeans, in their mid-20s to 30s, and wearing dark clothing with their faces covered.

Detective Sergeant Neil Guy said: “The woman was uninjured but was left extremely shaken by the experience.

“We are appealing for witnesses, especially those living near to the cemetery, whom may have seen three men at the times in question walking or running through the cemetery including if any suspicious vehicles were seen in the nearby area.

“We are continuing with extensive CCTV and door-to-door enquires and there will be additional patrols in the area.

"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference number 2992 of 15 April, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
