Glasgow woman launches search for newlyweds she snapped by chance in Royal Exchange Square

A woman from Glasgow has launched a search to help find a pair of newlyweds she snapped by chance in Royal Exchange Square.

Leslie Bell, from Strathbungo, was taking her daughter in to George Square to see the Christmas lights when she paused to take a photo of the Duke of Wellington statue outside the GoMA.

And it was only when she posted the photo on Facebook last night that she was made aware that the bride and groom appeared in the background of the photo.

Now she wants to find the bride so that she can send the lovely and very 'Glasgow' photo of her and the groom under the canopy of lights with the Duke of Wellington statue in the foreground.

The photo of the bride and groom in Royal Exchange Square (Leslie Bell)

Speaking to Glasgow Live, Leslie said: "I took my wee girl into the city centre to see the Christmas lights around 4:30pm. We were in Royal Exchange Square and I saw a bride. I just smiled at her and then I stopped to take a picture of the Duke with his hat on.

"I didn't think she was in the picture at all. It wasn't until I uploaded the picture onto Facebook that someone who saw the picture said 'Oh look there's a bride in the corner'.

"It's a cracking picture I took without sounding too conceited but I think it's the kind of picture that would be really nice for her to have.

"So if I can find out who she is I'd be quite happy to send her a copy."

Anyone have any idea who the bride and groom are?
