Glasgow woman fundraising to create care package for city's homeless this winter

A big-hearted Glasgow woman has launched a fundraiser to help homeless people in the city by creating care packages this winter.

Jodie Hunter has created the crowdfunder with the goal of making a difference to the lives of people living on the streets.

The care packages she intends to create would include food, water, jumpers, foil blankets, hats, gloves and socks as well as any basic essentials dependent on gender.

Jodie is hoping to raise £200 for her campaign.

Her fundraiser reads: "We are all aware of the homeless crisis within our community and the recent sad passing of one of our locals. It truly saddens me to see it happening in this day and age.

"Each day as I come off the train at Central Station, I, like most of us, see the homeless underneath the bridge and each time I get more upset to walk past and I try and do my bit by giving money every day, however it is impossible for me to make a difference without the help of others.

"I am creating this gofundme page to raise money to help as much people as we can who are in need. I feel passionate about this as we all know the winter has truly set in and it’s getting colder and colder every day."
