Glasgow woman disgusted after finding bug in Frankie and Benny's meal

A Glasgow woman was left disgusted after finding a bug in her meal from Frankie and Benny's last night.

Stacey Kiddie ordered her meal from the restaurant at Glasgow Fort, including a Chicken Mac n Cheese from the Double Bubble Bird Box.

However, she was shocked to make the unpleasant discovery in her meal when she opened it.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, she said she worried "the place must be crawling", particularly during the covid crisis.

She added: "I order from here all the time, I am really disappointed. I don't want my money back, but as a customer that spends a lot each week, I even said I don't want money back but I am phoning environmental health today, as this shouldn't be happening."

Frankie and Benny's has confirmed they are in contact with the customer, and described the matter as an "isolated incident".

A spokesperson for the restaurant said: "We are in contact with the customer regarding a complaint about a foreign object found in a meal. We are looking into this isolated incident and will keep the customer updated. All of our restaurants follow strict policies around food hygiene and are regularly inspected by the environmental health officer."
