Glasgow woman ‘attacked’ in Magaluf to be ‘moved from intensive care’

The Glasgow female soldier who was allegedly attacked in Magaluf is set to be moved from the intensive care unit in hospital, according to reports.

Sarah Ann Garrity, who was allegedly glassed at a nightclub in Magaluf, is said to be on the road to recovery.

The 22-year-old was reportedly cut in the neck by her friend and fellow servicewoman Sydney Cole, 19, during a nightclub brawl at Bananas in Magaluf, Majorca, just before 1am on Monday.

Emergency services rushed to the nightclub on Magaluf’s party strip to find Sarah lying in a pool of blood.

She was rushed to the intensive care unit at Son Espouses Hospital in Palma where medics confirmed she was in a critical condition due to how much blood she lost in the attack.

However, according to Diario de Mallorca, Sarah is set to be moved from ICU to begin her recovery.

Cole was arrested at the scene on suspicion of carrying out the attack and appeared in a Spanish court yesterday afternoon.

She is reportedly being held in a provisional prison for the alleged crimes of attempted murder and causing serious injuries.

The pair are believed to have been on holiday together and Sarah had been sharing photos of her and Sydney together as recently as a few weeks ago.
