Glasgow wins big as four venues in the Top 100 Restaurants in the UK

Four restaurants in Glasgow have bagged themselves a spot in the Top 100 Restaurants in the UK 2022. The prestigious list has been put together based on 1.4 million reviews left by OpenTable diners.

With the festive season just around the corner, many of you will want to head out to celebrate with family and friends - especially now there's no Covid restrictions stopping you from eating out.

OpenTable - an online restaurant booking platform - conducted research and found that 78% of Brits plan to spend the same amount of money or more on festive celebrations compared to last year, with an average total expected spend of £133.09.

Their list of the top places to eat include Glasgow restaurants Ardnamurchan, Bucks Bar, Number 16 Restaurant and Thundercat Pub & Diner. These are the places that'll be beaming with joyful customers and tasty foods that hit the right spot this Christmas.

OpenTable's Vice President, Lucy Taylor said: “OpenTable’s annual list of diners’ top 100 is back to celebrate another year of dining across the UK. The list highlights some of the most beloved restaurants and cuisines that our platform has to offer, as well as helping prospective diners discover new and interesting eateries, wherever they may be located.

“It's brilliant to see such a diverse array of restaurants up and down the country making the list. Our State of the Industry data indicates that people across the UK are keen to eat out, so whether they are looking for somewhere festive to dine or simply need a bit of inspiration, we hope there is something for everyone to enjoy.”
