Glasgow windfarm tech firm shares £1.5 million business transformation support

Offshore wind supply chain companies Tekmar Group and Windhoist Holdings will share £1.5m of business transformation support from Offshore Wind Growth Partnership’s (OWGP) Sharing in Growth programme.

They join Global Energy Group and Wescott Industrial Services, which have just completed their first 100 days on the programme.

Glasgow-based Windhoist specialises in heavy cranage, mechanical and electrical services to wind turbine equipment manufacturers.

The programme requires significant commitment from a company’s management team, focusing on all aspects that contribute to productivity, from leadership and culture to operations and logistics.

Combining experience from aerospace and the offshore wind sectors, the programme is targeting engagement from six to eight offshore wind supply chain companies.

The OWGP is funded by members of the Offshore Wind Industry Council and as part of the Offshore Wind Sector Deal, with a 10 year budget of £100m to support growth of the UK supply chain.

Euan Fenelon, chief operating officer of Windhoist, said: “Our aim is to deliver a service of high value and quality to our client with world-class leading health and safety performance, and we see the programme as a major facilitator in support of this aim.”
