Glasgow west end street taped off by police after man found injured

A man was taken to hospital after being injured in a reported knife attack in Glasgow's west end.

Police were called to Great Western Road at 1.50pm on Thursday afternoon following reports of a disturbance.

Officers cordoned off an area of the street outside The Pyramid Shisha Bar as the man was treated by ambulance crews before being taken to hospital.

The man's condition is currently unknown. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: A spokesperson said: "Around 1.50pm, police received a report of a disturbance in Great Western Road, near the Spar shop.

"Emergency services attended and one man has been taken to hospital.

"Enquiries are continuing to establish what has happened."
