Glasgow weather: When snow is going to fall on Wednesday as -2C predicted

Glasgow has been lucky to experience some great weather recently with highs of almost 20C over the last week.

Temperatures peaked to 17C on Sunday - Mother's Day - although it felt like a lot higher with people flocking to the shops to grab food for picnics in the park.

However, whilst spring is officially here, the weather is a little mixed with reports of snow set to fall later in the week.

And not only that, the city could feel temperatures as low of minus three.

So when can we expect the not-so sunny weather?

According to BBC Weather and Met Office, Wednesday and Thursday are set to turn colder with temperatures dropping below zero degrees.

At present there are yellow weather warnings for snow and ice as put in place by the Met Office but thankfully Glasgow will remain unaffected by these.

A detailed weather forecast by the BBC predicts that highs of 8C and lows of -2C are set for Wednesday (March 30) whilst highs of 10C and lows of -3C could be felt on Thursday (March 31).

The snow is not expected to last long and shouldn't cause any travel disruption with it falling in the city between the hours of 5am to 7am tomorrow.

Despite the chilling conditions, both forecasters predict some sun along the way - and if spring is an indication of anything, we could have a gorgeous summer this year.
