This weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher in Glasgow — by Scottish standards anyway — with blue skies and soaring temperatures predicted.
The balmy weather will start on Friday, with "good bright and sunny spell" according to forecaster the Met Office.
Skies will be clear and bright for much of the morning, with temperatures gradually rising to a peak of 12 degrees Celsius.

Around midday, clouds will begin to form over the city, which will hang around for much of the day — though the sunny intervals will briefly turn to a period of uninterrupted sunshine at around 4pm.
After this, temperatures will gradually fall throughout the evening and night, with lows of 4C forecast on Saturday morning.
According to the Met Office, things will heat up dramatically after this though — with highs of 15C expected between 3pm and 4pm.
The weather service states that it will be "the best day of the young spring with prolonged sunshine and southerly winds lifting temperatures into the high teens in the Central Belt".
Uninterrupted clear skies are expected throughout the entire morning, afternoon, and evening.
After another cold nights — with lows approaching 0C — Sunday looks to be much the same, with no clouds expected at any point during the day.
It will however be a bit cooler, with highs of only 11C expected in the mid-afternoon.
Clouds will begin to form over Glasgow moving into next week, but the weather will remain pleasant, with sunny intervals and temperatures over 10C forecast throughout the week.
