Glasgow weather: Two days of high temperatures and sunshine ahead before clouds roll in again

Glasgow is set to be bathed in warm temperatures today and tomorrow - meaning good news that for those among us lucky enough to have a garden to practice social distancing.

The Met Office are reporting that we are in store for a dry, sunny day with maximum temperatures of 19°C - on a par with Barcelona and well above the seasonal average.

While tomorrow we are set for the same with the return of prolonged sunshine following a morning period of fog across the Central Belt. Again, the mercury will reach 19°C.

Ideal then, as we said, for those able to enjoy the sun from the comfort of their own home during the lockdown.

And for those of us who take up the opportunity to go for a wee run or walk to get our designated daily exercise in.

Sunday will see a drop in temperatures to 13°C as the clouds return, however it will remain mainly dry with occasional brighter spells appearing.
