A new weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms across Glasgow.
The yellow alert is in place from this afternoon until 6am tomorrow morning.
The Met Office predict our city will face thunder and potential flooding from around 1.30pm this afternoon - so it's not great news if you were hoping for an afternoon outside.
The Met Office prediction is "a few places may see thunderstorms causing flooding and disruption” - and the full forecast reads: “low moving showers are expected to develop for the afternoon, these becoming heavy and perhaps thundery with some torrential downpours possible."
That’s along with a maximum temperature of 21C - not exactly scorching, but muggy enough to warrant a thunderstorm.
June has been a mixed bag here in Glasgow so far - and the forecast for the next week isn’t much better.
The Met Office predicts the rain will continue to at least Monday - although that could all change by the time we get there.
In the meantime, we’d suggest a brolly or even better, staying inside your cosy house and watching the thunderstorm from there.
Stay safe, folks!
