A yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy showers is to come into force across Glasgow.
The Met Office has issued the weather alert across Scotland between 10am and 7pm tomorrow (Thursday) and cautions that there is a risk of flooding and travel disruption.
The weather service explains that there is potential for between 20-30mm of rainfall in less than an hour and up to 40mm in two hours, which could generate surface water flooding particularly in urban areas.
Temperatures are set to reach 26C in the city today with long spells of sunshine and it's to remain dry overnight, according to the forecast.
However, some showery rain is expected to push in from the south towards dawn which could be "heavy and thundery" and a maximum temperature of around 21C.
