Well Glasgow, our chances of a white Christmas may not be great - but it could still happen, if the forecast for tomorrow (Christmas Eve) is anything to go by.
There’s a snow and ice weather warning in place for the north of Scotland - but so far, that yellow alert hasn’t moved as far south as the central belt.
Still, Christmas Eve is set to be a chilly one - so here’s hoping Santa has his thermals on!
The Met Office forecast shows highs of just 2 degrees for Glasgow on December 24, dropping to -1C and feeling as low as -3C as we all settle in for the night.
The forecast for tonight (December 23) into tomorrow reads: “Strong northerly winds pushing showers across Argyll, three wintry to near sea level at time overnight. Frost for many.
“A dry and bright winter’s day for the majority on Thursday. However, a few isolated showers across north districts during the morning, wintry to sea level at times."
So, while the prospect of snow remains unclear, we are in for some wintry showers and lots of frost as temperatures dip here in Glasgow.
Whether it’s good or bad news, we’ll leave up to you, but the forecast changes for Christmas Day, with temperatures rising to highs of 7C - and with that comes the threat of rain. Because it just wouldn’t be Christmas in Glasgow without some drizzle!
But those wintry showers could return over the weekend, on higher ground at least.
The Met Office outlook for Friday to Sunday reads: “Showery rain crossing from west during Christmas day. Gales, showers and longer periods of rain and summit snow for Boxing day, heaviest in west. Wintry showers Sunday, frequent in west.”
