Glasgow is set to benefit from a UK 'heatwave' this weekend, with temperatures expected to exceed the 20C mark in our city.
After a fairly wet and miserable few weeks, we are set for a bit of a reprieve, and perhaps a temporary return to summer this Saturday and Sunday.
The Met Office predicts we'll experience temperatures of up to 22C on both Saturday and Sunday, with no rain, although the skies could be cloudy.
After a wet day tomorrow (Thursday), things will start to warm up on a dry Friday as we enter the weekend.
Meanwhile it is reported that elsewhere in the UK, temperatures of up to 30C could be witnessed, with the potential for 'the hottest August on record' in certain parts of the country.
And thankfully, after the hot weekend in Glasgow, we should continue to see sunny weather into Monday and Tuesday, albeit the temperature will be a little cooler.
