Glasgow weather: temperature to rise above 20c next week after heavy rain

July could end with temperatures of over 20c in Glasgow according to forecasters, after what's been a fairly underwhelming month of 'summer' weather.

This weekend is set to be fairly gloomy, with dark clouds today and rain due to fall on our city tomorrow.

And Glasgow will be braced for particularly wet weather on Monday, with heavy rain showers predicted throughout the day.

However, from then, in spite of a couple of shorter spells of rain on Tuesday, it should be a fairly bright and warm week, peaking on Friday with a maximum temperature of 21c according to the Met Office.

Yet, the more stable weather may not even last until the first week of August when further rain spells are expected.
