Glasgow weather: Snow and sleet predicted this week by BBC

According to the BBC Weather, snow and sleet are expected to fall in Glasgow later this week in the aftermath of storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin.

After the extremely blustery conditions seen for much of last week, the city will overall see brighter and more pleasant weather for much of this week.

Following the clear and bright skies of Monday, Tuesday is set to be predominantly wet with sunny intervals forecast throughout the day.

Temperatures are set to peak at 9 degrees Celsius at around 6am and then fall steadily throughout the day — eventually hitting lows of 4C.

Most of Wednesday looks to tell a similar story, with rain showers and brief sunny spells expected by BBC Weather for most of the morning and afternoon.

Temperatures will peak at 7C at 10am and remain steady until about 5pm, after which they will fall steadily throughout the evening and night.

Starting at around 10pm, the forecaster predicts sleet showers in the city amid temperatures of 3C.

The showers will remain for much of early Thursday morning, before turning to "light snow showers" at around 3am.

Around this time, temperatures will fall to lows of 2C — where they will remain for much of the morning.

The snow will continue — amid brief spells of sunshine — until 11am, after which it will turn back to sleet briefly until around 1pm, after which it will convert to rain as temperatures begin to rise to a peak of 4C.

Friday is set to be drier and slightly warmer, with sunny spells expected throughout the day and temperatures peaking at around 6C.
