Glasgow weather: Snow and ice forecast as warning issued by Met Office

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in Strathclyde, starting today.

Tonight showers will continue overnight with hail and sleet at times. Snow will start to settle to low levels over Argyll and across higher ground elsewhere. A chance of icy patches.

The minimum temperature will be 0C.

North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire are among the areas that will be affected.

Traffic Scotland has issued guidance for drivers warning to drive safely when there may be icy patches.

Take extra care and wrap up warm if you go out today.
