Glasgow has been warned to brace for severe thunderstorms this afternoon after a weekend of good weather.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert today between noon and midnight tonight, with another in force for tomorrow.
The weather service said the conditions could lead to flooding on the road, lightning strikes and hail.
Warnings cover the whole of the country as there is some uncertainty in the location of the storms and their timing.
It said: "Areas of thunderstorms are increasingly likely to develop over the the UK during Monday and move north or north-westwards to affect parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland through the afternoon and evening."
England and Wales are braced for worse thunderstorms due to higher day temperatures but "heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and strong gusty winds" could move north to affect Scotland.
While the temperature is set to peak at a humid 23C today, it'll be cloudy and windy – with showers forecast for later this evening.
Keep an eye on the Met Office website for further updates.
