Glasgow weather: More thunderstorms expected to hit city this evening following weekend of flooding

Glasgow's weather has been changing faster than we can keep up.

We're flip-flopping from glorious sunshine and warm temperature to huge downpours causing flooding across the city in the blink of an eye.

So while we woke up to sunshine today which has lasted through the morning, the clouds are fast approaching and by the evening, we're being predicted the return of the thunderstorms we've seen in recent days.

The Met Office is predicting "blustery showers" beginning in the afternoon, and by the evening we will see weather that "feels more like Autumn than Summer" - a familiar feeling to most of us

Thunderstorms are expected to hit for two hours 6pm to 8pm - with the sun then making a late reappearance.

The forecast is predicting more thunderstorms this evening. (Met Office)

The forecast reads: "A dry and bright start with sunny spells. A scattering of blustery showers developing in the afternoon, these turning heavier over Argyll later. Strengthening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Remaining windy overnight, especially for the Islands and west coasts. The frequent heavy blustery showers will make it feel more like Autumn than Summer, less showers inland. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

You've got to love those temperamental Glasgow Summers!
