Glasgow weather - more thunder and hail on the way says Met Office forecast for Monday

It may be June, but that doesn’t stop the great Scottish weather from raining hail down upon us.

Sunday saw Glasgow battered with icy hailstones - and that looks set to continue today, along with the threat of thunderstorms.

The Met Office predicts an afternoon of heavy rain and potential thunder and lightning, with the worst of the weather set to hit around 3pm.

The forecast reads: “Another day of sunshine and showers, these isolated and light through to mid-morning, building to turn more frequent and heavy from late morning, with risk of thunder and hail for the afternoon.”

The maximum temperature for Monday is 18C, providing us with a rather muggy, changeable day - and perhaps the odd rumble of thunder.
