Glasgow weather - Met Office warning for rain extended

It's a little wet out there.

And perhaps it's no surprise then the Met Office have extended their weather warning for rain.

Originally in place until 10am this morning, the yellow warning now runs until midnight this evening, with forecasters predicting heavy rain until then.

And as usual, the Met Office warns of potential flooding risk and disruption to traffic and travel.

They say:

  • There is a chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
  • There is a chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater
  • Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
  • Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures and there is a chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads
  • There is a chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

For the full weather forecast, visit the Met Office website, HERE.

Take care out there, Glasgow!
